The Clinic
Ponsonby Physiotherapy has been established for over 20 years. Originally on Ponsonby Road, we moved to larger premises in 2003 to accomodate an on-site gym for individual and group exercise rehabilitation.
We currently have 10 full/part-time therapists all with a minimum of five years experience, each offering different specialities. All our staff regularly attend post-graduate courses to keep them up to date with recent rehabilitation trends.
Our practice specialises in the treatment and rehabilitation of musculoskeletal problems.
This means any problem affecting the way your joints, muscles, soft tissues and nerves function.
Our aim is for you to recover the maximum function possible. We will work together on a plan for achieving this.
Your first appointment will consist mainly of assessment, which is crucial to developing an effective treatment plan.
It is important that you feel comfortable here while receiving treatment, and that you understand advice and instructions given to you, don't hesitate to ask if anything is not clear.
If you wish to bring a friend, relative or interpreter with you we will accommodate them during your treatment.
The clinic has wheelchair access to treatment rooms and gym but not to toilet facilities.
